    Hastings County Museum of Agricultural Heritage

    The museum houses replicas of a dairy barn, cheese factory, creamery, butter and milk storage room, and farm kitchen and parlour; all from the 1940s. Antique tractor and farm machinery are also housed on site. Young and old, farmers and antique lovers alike will delight in the displays at the museum.

    Boyd Heritage Museum

    Housed in the original lumber office of Mossom Boyd, the Museum overlooks the first lock built on the Trent-Severn Waterway. The museum contains artifacts and information regarding how the Bobcaygeon/Kawarthas area was influenced by Mossom Boyd and his farming and lumber companies. Mossom Boyd formed one of the three largest lumber companies in Ontario at the time, and his family continued it, thus greatly contributing to the economy of the area. Several special events are held at the museum throughout the year, including two antiques and collectibles sales, a Living History from Jul to Aug, as well as art shows in the Boyd Gallery. Open weekends in May, Jun. and Sept. and daily Jul and Aug (10am to 4pm).

    Proctor Park Conservation Area
    Explore 37 hectares (91 acres) of nature at Proctor Park Conservation Area. There are 2.5 km of trails suitable for hiking or biking, as well as a picnic site. While at the park, visit the Proctor House Museum. This early 1800s historical building is open for touring during July and August.
