Named after the French word for "almost an island", Presqu'ile Provincial Park is situated on Lake Ontario. The landscape is varied, with a mix of jutting out limestone, sand dunes, sandy and rocky beaches, marshes, forests and wet meadows. Bird watching is phenomenal in the spring and fall, as it is the flyway spot for migrating birds, a staging point for monarch butterflies flying to Mexico, and home to many waterfowl and shorebirds. Ontario's second-oldest operating lighthouse is situated in Presqu'ile, along with a Lighthouse Interpretive Centre (summer opening). An array of rental items is available to add to the enjoyment of a visit. These include bicycles, volleyball nets/balls, barbeques and horseshoes. Address: R.R.#4, Brighton, ON Canada K0K 1H0
